Disabled Parking - Assholes in Penrith
Like many people, I used to pull into disabled spots when I was "just ducking into the shop for a minute". Yes, I know it was wrong, I just didn't realise HOW wrong until I had a motorcycle accident in 2013 and had my own Disabled Permit for about 3 months - with my ex having to drive me around and not being able to get a parking spot I quickly realised how frustrating it was for genuinely disabled people, and can proudly say I was responsible for my fair share of fines in the day. It became, and still is, somewhat of a hobby horse for me. Which is why this one pisses me off so much. There is an Arcade in Penrith, Riverlands Arcade, opposite Westfield - directly opposite the entry to Myers from High St. I had an appointment just down from it the other day and had to park out in the street in the back lane, because there was no parking available (notoriously bad).
